Universitas Tanjungpura organized the Professorship Acceleration Program with a focus on the theme “Professional Communication Workshop English Language Program Kansas State University”. The program was held at Kansas State University on March 30, 2019.
This annual event presented the best lecturer of K-State University sharing topics, techniques as well as technology on higher education learning. The implementation of this program consists of four sessions that each session was delivered by speakers who are experienced in their field. Among them, the speakers in the first week of Professional Conduct in U.S. Higher Education by Dr. Leena Chakrabarti, Asisstant Director, English Language Program, U.S. Copyright Law and Compliance in Your Academic Career by Dr. Ryan Otto, Assistant Professor-Digital Scholarship Librarian Center for the Advancement of Digital Scholarship, Kansas State University Libraries, and University Honor Code Dr. Camilla Robert, Director, Honor and Integrity System.
Then, speaker in the second week on the topic of Presentations and Collaborations – Q&A and Graduate Studies in the U.S. was Dr. Richard Llewelyn, Extension Assistant, Dept. of Agricultural Economics. The third week raised the topic of Assessment of Teaching and Learning in the University level by Prof. Frederick Burrack, Director of Assessment. Do’s and don’ts for Successful Collaborations by Dr. Marcellus Caldas, Assistant Provost of International Faculty Collaboration and Educational Programs. The fourth session explored the topic of developing teaching and learning by Dr. Jana Fallin, Teaching and Learning Center, and Admission to Graduate School of K-State University by Dr. Carol Shanklin, Dean Graduate School Dean. Other ancillary activities of the participants of this program was to attend the spot-light K-State University.
This program is expected to be motivated by the participants, and the participants can also contribute well when they return to Universitas Tanjungpura. (RA)
