Internship and Ready to Work in Japan, COllaboration of Untan, Mirai Kankyo, Rise Neo, and Willtos

Universitas Tanjugpura has collaborated with several universities and industries (companies) in Japan that have been formalized in the form of MoUs and MoAs.

The International Affairs Office noted that there were at least four tertiary institutions and three companies that had actively collaborated with Universitas Tanjungpura.

The collaboration was manifested in the staff teaching program, joint workshops, joint publications, and internship of 4 Untan students to Kankyo Mirai, Rise Neo, and Willtos in 2018, recruitment of Universitas Tanjungpura alumni to work in Japanese companies, joint research, and students (credit transfer and special classes) and lecturers (general lectures and research).

Prof. Dr. H. Thamrin Usman, D.E.A said that the collaboration carried out is giving the students of Untan the opportunity to have an internship for three months and get paid and would be directly accepted to work at these companies if they already hold a bachelor’s degree.

“The Japanese companies that are partners of Untan are ready to receive Untan students to internships, and they are also paid. They are also ready to be accommodated for work in Japan,” he said.

Japanese agricultural company, Rise Neo Company, is engaged in the development of rice and vegetables. While Kankyo Mirai is engaged in the field of investigation, control, and checking of water, soil, and air quality throughout Japan. While the Willtos Company is engaged in Building Maintenance (Maintenance Building) covering termite, fire, electricity, building material (green building) maintenance, waste, and building cleanliness.

In 2019 there were six students doing an internship program on this cooperation scheme. The names of the students are listed in the table below
