The Grand Mosque of Mujahidin (Masjid Raya Mujahidin), the largest mosque in the province of West Kalimantan, was first inaugurated on October 2, 1953. After being renovated, Masjid Raya Mujahidin was re-inaugurated by the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo on January 20, 2015. The mosque is located on Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani.
The mosque has its uniqueness in interior and exterior design. The mosque that bears similarities to the Nabawi mosque in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. The mosque occupies a land area of 4 hectares and has a two-storey building to accommodate about 9000 worshipers. The appearance of the mosque is dominated with golden white color making it look fancy. Its splendor becomes its own interesting aspect to visit by the people who come to Pontianak.

Masjid Raya Mujahidin is often used as a place for religious studies for Muslims in Pontianak, such as during Eid prayer which is always crowded by the local community. Not only that, this mosque is congregated during taraweeh and Friday prayers. The beautiful characteristic of this mosque is often used as a background for wedding and family photos for the local people.
