
Pontianak, January 28, 2026 — Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN), through its International Affairs Office (IAO), held a coordination meeting today at the Office of International Relations to discuss capacity building under the Erasmus Plus program and explore potential future cooperation in international academic mobility.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the International Affairs Office UNTAN, UPA Bahasa (Academic Development Unit), Kedai Perancis UNTAN, and Ocean Network, a global organization that connects Erasmus mobility alumni from around the world. The forum served as a platform to exchange ideas and align institutional strategies related to international collaboration and mobility programs.
Discussions focused on strengthening UNTAN’s institutional readiness in managing Erasmus Plus programs, particularly in the areas of academic governance, language support, and international project coordination. Participants also explored opportunities for collaboration between UNTAN and Erasmus Plus in student and staff mobility schemes, including short-term exchanges, academic visits, and capacity development initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Zairin Zain, Head of the International Affairs Office UNTAN; Stella Fransiska, M.Pd, Head of UPA Bahasa UNTAN; Dr. Apt. Hariyanto IH, M.Si, Director of Kedai Perancis UNTAN; Rahmat Putra Yudha, M.Pd TESOL, EU Project Coordinator; and Yassine Zarouk, Head of Ocean Network from Morocco.
During the discussion, Ocean Network shared insights on the role of alumni networks in supporting Erasmus Plus initiatives and fostering sustainable international partnerships. The presence of Ocean Network highlighted the importance of global collaboration and alumni engagement in enhancing the impact of mobility programs.
Through this meeting, UNTAN reaffirmed its commitment to expanding international cooperation and strengthening its participation in Erasmus Plus programs. The participants expressed optimism that closer collaboration among institutional units and international partners would open broader opportunities for UNTAN students and staff to engage in global academic mobility and international capacity-building initiatives in the future.
