Universitas Tanjungpura sent its delegation to the 5th Japan-Indonesia Rector’s Conference. This meeting was held in Hiroshima, Japan October 10-11, 2019. The meeting was attended by Rector of the Universitas Tanjungpura, Prof. Dr. Garuda Wiko, S.H., M.Si.

In this meeting, Universitas Tanjungpura started the communication with Prof. Yasushi Maruyama, Vice President of Hiroshima University, to entertain the possibilities of academic cooperation. The Rector of Universitas Tanjungpura also stated about the other activities that have been done today that two alumni of Hiroshima University are from the Faculty of Engineering and some other activities and the wishes of the Rector of the Universitas Tanjungpura to meet specifically for the appointment of academic cooperation. Previously, the party from Hiroshima University Prof. Yasushi Maruyama said that Hiroshima University is interested in cooperation with Universitas Tanjungpura.

It is agreed that this cooperation should be formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding which was officially held on 10 October 2019 in one of the rooms at Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima at 16:30 local time. (RA)
