Description:
Social Studies Education Study Program of FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura, was established on February 25, 2014, with the Operating License Number: 5671 / UN22 / DT / 2014 and has been accredited “B” by BAN-PT on May 15, 2018. The Vision of Social Studies Education Study Program is “In 2025 Social Studies Education Study Program will become the center of development of excellent Education Human Resources in social science and a professional, characterized and dignified social environment.”
The students of Social Studies Education are expected to be able to: master broad insights and knowledge of educational and teaching issues as well as socio-cultural issues; have a high concern for educational and teaching issues as well as socio-cultural issues; become a professional Social Studies Education experts; master high and holistic abilities as researchers, developers, planners, managers and disseminators of Social Studies and other fields related to community development; have skills in solving socio-cultural problems both in the field of education and non-education; develop curriculum and learning material on social studies; plan, implement and evaluate innovative and contextual social studies learning, and master the methodology of social research.
This is aimed at achieving the profile of graduates of the Social Studies Education Study Program as:
1. Middle school / MTs social studies teacher, and
2. Researchers in the field of social studies education.
To get an S.Pd (Bachelor Degree in Social Studies Education) students are required to take courses for a minimum of 7 semesters with 145 credits.
