Description:
Mathematics Education Study Program is one of undergraduate programs in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Tanjungpura with the accreditation of B by BAN-PT. Mathematics Education Study Program produces Mathematics teachers, lecturers in various universities both public and private, entrepreneurs in the field of education and workers in various agencies. After undergoing lectures, students will gain competencies to: (1) teach Mathematics at the level of junior high school/equivalent and high school/equivalent; (2) research in the field of Mathematics Education & Pure Mathematics; and (3) be entrepreneurs. Lectures in Mathematics Education Study Program can be completed for four years (8 semesters), but there is an opportunity for students to finish lectures for 3.5 years (7 semesters), by completing the study load of 144 credits. Lecture materials are taught with a variety of theoretical and practical approaches and at the end of the semester students have to carry out teaching practices in partner schools for 4-6 months in order to provide real experience as prospective teachers. In addition to face-to-face lectures, online lectures are also carried out using various synchronous and asynchronous applications.
