Study Program of History Education (S1), Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Universitas Tanjungpura, was established on February 25, 2014, with the operational license number 147 / E.E2 / DT / 2014 and the study program is currently accredited “B “by the National Higher Education Accreditation Agency (BAN-PT) based on SK BAN-PT No. 1457 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / S / V / 2018.
History Education Study Program (S1) exists to answer the challenges of the needs of educators in West Kalimantan. The need for educators in the field of history in the 21st century and in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 to 5.0 needs to be prepared carefully, professionally and measurably.
History Education Study Program (S1) prepares curriculum based on the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), thereby, the graduates of historical education study programs (S1) are expected to have the competencies needed by the market and jobs.
Students in history education study program (S1) must complete a minimum of 147 credits consisting of 137 credits of compulsory subjects and 10 credits of elective courses. The main competencies produced from graduates of the history education program (S1) include: pedagogical competence in the field of teaching history, personal competence of graduates, graduates are noble, wise and noble character, social competencies, the graduates possess communication competence, skill and teamwork within the work environment and society; and professional competence, graduates of history education study programs (S1) are able to master the material in the field of history and history learning.
