Description:
The organization of the Geography Education Study Program in the Department of Social Sciences Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education in Universitas Tanjungpura is based on a letter of on behalf of the Directorate of Higher Education Number: 147/E.E2/DT /2014 dated February 17, 2014 concerning the Assignment of Study Program Implementation. Geography Education Study Program answers the need for human resources in West Kalimantan in the field of geography education. Currently the program has been accredited “B” by BAN-PT. Geography Education Study Program yield graduates who are experts in the field of geography. Undergraduate students of this program will study for four years, divided into 8 semesters and require 148 credits to graduate. The program has several graduate profiles, including: (1) as a reliable geography educator (2) as a geography education researcher and (3) competent in environmental analysis and peatland conservation. The learning carried out refers to the local and spatial content of West Kalimantan.
