Founded in 2003 through the operational permit of the Director General of Higher Education Number: 178 / D / T / 2003, the Undergraduate Biology Education Study Program (Teacher Training Faculty at Universitas Tanjungpura) was initiated in response to the high needs of qualified Biology teacher candidates in Indonesia. With a vision of producing the undergraduates with the Biology education background who have pedagogical, personal, professional and social competence and are able to compete regionally and nationally, the study program strives to apply various biological disciplines and the latest biological education, especially in the equatorial tropics. The Biology education study program offers an undergraduate education program for the prospective Biology teachers that can be taken for four years (8 semesters) and requires 144 credits to graduate.
