Economic Education Study Program, created under the auspices of FKIP of Universitas Tanjungpura, was established on July 4, 2011 with the operational license number 137 / E / O / 2011. This study program is currently accredited “B” based on SK BAN-PT No.3014 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / M / VIII / 201. Four semester courses of lectures are required for 40 credits. Before the lectures, students are given 7 courses in matriculation. In semester 3, there are 3 elective courses and KKL activities (Field Work Visits) to local university or abroad university.

Economic Education study Program aims to:

1. Produce masters in Economic Education who are able to plan, formulate, analyze and solve problems in learning process in the field of economic education and utilize technology in teaching;
2. Generate research outputs that are useful for the development of science and technology in the field of economic education;
3. Produce intellectual works that are beneficial to society as a form of implementation of community service
4. Produce superior human resources in the world of industrial work.

This study program develops the scope of research as follows:

1. Study of the economic education in the field of food security of local communities;
2. Economic studies of peat-land community education;
3. Economic studies of coastal community education;
4. Information and communication technology studies in economic learning;
5. Study of the economic education of border communities;
6. Study of formal, non-formal and informal education literacy studies, studies of digital learning and teaching innovations, innovative entrepreneurship based on the social economy of the creative community.
